Eneri Taul, BA, OAA received her degree in architecture in the United States before coming to Toronto. Eneri has been a successful sole practitioner in Ontario since 1981. Her expertise includes design and renovation of custom homes, small commercial buildings, construction supervision and consultation. Eneri’s vision of a building includes the practical with the complementary aesthetic. Her design for the Timmas Art Studio (Timmase Kunstitare) in Udora, Ontario is a good example of this approach. The space offers indoor and outdoor resources for all forms of creative arts' activity, ceramics included. The studio is easily accessible for all ages and is also a designated workshop/retreat place for EKKT members to enjoy.
Kaili Maimets and Angela Schwarzkopf have been performing together for 12 years. Both are accomplished musicians and have continued to flourish in their fields of specialization, flute and harp. Together as The Topaz Duo, they created an album called Lumena.
EKKT is honoured to have them perform this year at our opening reception.
“With the arrival of the pandemic, so too did a unique opportunity for us. For the first time in a long time, we were in the same city and had lots of time. So, one sunny day in 2020 we sat outside and talked about how to make our dream a reality. We have always had a focus on music by living composers and knew that we were passionate about programing both the Sonata for flute and harp Op. 56 by Lowell Liebermann and lumena (composed by Kaili’s brother Riho Esko Maimets). We also knew that we desperately wanted to learn, perform, and record the Sonata for harp and flute by Marjan Mozetich. We wanted one more piece to round out this project and we wanted it to be something created just for us, and so Little Feng Huang by Kevin Lau was born. We believe we have curated a unique album that showcases a wide range of music styles and feelings.” -Kaili Maimets
